Assistant Teacher
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists teacher to conduct a productive and supportive classroom environment for children of different learning styles and abilities.

Helps plan individual and group activities for young children to stimulate growth in language, social and motor skills.

Collaborates with teacher and other members of staff to help prepare daily lesson plans with emphasis on individualized instruction and IEP goals

Supports curriculum design and implementation. Assists in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials

Collaborates on an effective classroom environment conducive to learning through functional and attractive displays, interest centers, and exhibits of students’ work appropriate for their physical, social, and emotional development
-
Helps conduct ongoing assessments of student achievements
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required
-
Experience working with neurodivergent children required
-
School experience preferred
-
Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Special Education preferred
-
M/M SPED Credential preferred
